WTF Naruto Shippuden & WTG Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

  • SPOILER ALERT!!  SPOILER ALERT!!  If you have not been keeping up with the latest Naruto Shippuden episodes or the latest FMA Brotherhood this will SPOIL it for you!!  Just a heads up.  😉
  • Okay, so lets rant a bit first off.  Hee, hee…

WHAT IS GOING ON on Naruto Shippuden??  I mean, really?  REALLY?!  The entire cast of characters is being killed off!  Yeah I know..,  tell me how you really feel?  Lol.  Seriously, I am not a happy camper.  All these amazing characters that we have grown to love, dropping like flies.  We, as the Narutards we are, knowing the very branching details of how they smiled and struggled in the Leaf Village.  Which by the way, is also GONE!  I guess I started doubting this story line when they have to kill off Jiraiya and then right afterwards kill off Kakashi.  Now Shizune and Hinata!!  I have to say that Kakashi is one of my favorite characters and I’ve always loved Hinata.  I really wanted to see her get past some of her struggles and grow.  Yes, I admit, I’m one of those fans who’s always wanted Naruto and Hinata to get together.  *blushes*

Don’t get me wrong!  I do enjoy that there is an exciting and epic story going on right now, but I’m just hoping the writers will pull some great, amazing, secret jitzu out of their pocket to reverse some of this death.  You know it’s not the first time that’s happened!  Anything is possible since jitzus are so versatile.  We have so many characters right now in the story, that have such a history built up, we don’t need new ones.

While we’re at it, I do have some other beefs to pick with the show.  If it was possible to write the makers of the anime I would ask:

Please, please stop revealing so much in the introduction of the show!  I don’t want to know everything before it happens and not have a single ounce of surprise!  Even kids watching the show need to have a little surprise once in a while.  They’ll figure it out.  And please stop making the female characters seem like they are so helpless!  You have an episode or two where you display all these amazing abilities they have and then when it comes down to it, they need someone’s help to get by.  Let them kick ass and save the day once in a while!  Oh and can you not make one fight scene last 10 episodes long!!  I would say three episodes is good enough”

For all of you Naruto fans thinking I’m complaining a lot, well that’s the point of this one post.  Not to worry, I love Naruto and that’s why I’ve kept watching all this time. 🙂  No I don’t read the manga, but I like to be surprised so you don’t have to tell me what happens.

  • Now for FMA Brotherhood.

I just watched the last episode and I am happy they did a finale showing how life started rolling after all the chaos.  I wish a lot of animes did that.  I like to see how things unfold, for the characters, after all of their torment and battles are over.  I enjoyed seeing Ed’s goofy way of trying to express his feelings toward Winry and how everything ended up.  Of course as the mushy girl I am, I would have loved to see a kiss at the end, even though that’s a predictable ending.  Probably why they didn’t do that.

Over all, I can confidently say that FMA Brotherhood is one of the best anime I’ve ever seen!  Granted, I’m a late comer to watching anime.  I’ve only been watching over four years now (unless you count the few things I watched as a kid that I didn’t know was anime).  It’s a unique and interesting story that has a lot of heart.  It’s beautifully animated and doesn’t leave out important details.  The sound track for the series was fantastic, there were no boring filler episodes.  There was a lot of excitement and the episodes left you wanting more.  I also personally feel the FMA Brotherhood series is eighty percent better than its predecessor the original FMA series.  It wasn’t bad, just after watching this one made me want to forget the other one.  🙂

So there you have it, two completely different opinions on two different animes I love.

I will continue to watch Naruto Shippuden and pray and as for FMA Brotherhood, I will quote the Ghost Hunters when I say, “Onto the next!!”
